Chicago, Ill. - The Horizon League announced on Tuesday morning that University of Illinois at Chicago sophomore sprinter Jessica Fouche (Chicago, Ill./Good Counsel) was named the Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the period ending February 8th.

Fouche cruised to a first-place and school-record time of 7.36 in the 55-meter dash, and ran a leg of the victorious 4x400 relay (4:12.40) at the Lewis Qualifier on Saturday afternoon.

UIC will be back in action this weekend, as they will split up the squad and participate in both the Iowa State Classic and Lewis Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
