Indianapolis, Ind. - University of Illinois at Chicago jump specialists Idara Essien and Adaeze Chuma-Okorafor each earned a first-place finish in their respective events to pace the women's track and field squad at the Butler Twilight Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Essien captured the triple jump title with a season-best and winning mark of 11.13 meters, while Chuma-Okorafor added a first-place and season-best leap of 1.60 meters in the high jump.

Junior sprinter Jessica Fouche added a win in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 24.95. Fouche's teammate Tamika Johnson finished third in the event with a time of 26.08 and added another third-place mark in the 100-meter dash (13.07).

Senior distance specialist Jenni Goebel rounded out the top-three finishers for the Flames with a third-place time of 10:04.36 in the 3,000-meter run.

UIC will be back in action on Thursday afternoon, as they will return to Indianapolis, Ind., to participate in the 2005 Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships at 4:00 p.m. (CST).
