Des Moines, Iowa- A sweep of the doubles matches and singles wins from the heart of the order helped the UIC women's tennis team down Northern Iowa by a 5-2 tally in Des Moines on Saturday morning.

UIC (5-6) jumped out to the early lead thanks to a strong doubles showing, earning the point with three hard-fought wins.

The Flames would not relent, as Callan Smith, Corey Steven, Molly Smith and Grace Gill-Morlis picked up convincing two-set victories from the No. 2-5 spots on the singles side.

UIC takes a two-match trip through Ohio next weekend, taking on Horizon League rival Wright State on Friday followed by a contest against Xavier on Saturday.
