Horizon League-Leading Softball Faces Another Tough Week, Including A Trip To Second-Place Cleveland State April 26, 2004

Chicago, Ill. - The UIC softball team will put to a close one of its most successful months in recent memory this week with three home games to wrap up April, before opening May on the road with a three-game series at Cleveland State. The Flames, who are 16-2 in April and currently lead the league with a 10-1 record, open the week by concluding their season-series with Horizon League travel partner Butler with a single game on Tuesday, April 27th, at 4:00 p.m. UIC took the first two games in the series in Indianapolis, Ind., bacl on April 12th, 16-6 and 9-2. UIC will then welcome DePaul (20-22-1) to Flames Field for a non-conference doubleheader at 4:00 p.m. Over the weekend, UIC locks horns with the second-place Vikings (23-20, 11-4) in a critical three-game series for supremecy in the Horizon League.
