Women's Basketball Inks Tarrah Miller To National Letter Of Intent
May 6, 2004 Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago Head Women's Basketball Coach Lisa Ryckbosch announced on Thursday morning, that she has inked Tarrah Miller (South Bend, Ind./Clay H.S.) to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Flames for the upcoming 2004-05 campaign. Miller, a 5-8 point guard, averaged 16.2 points per game as a senior for South Bend Clay High School. For her efforts, Miller was named the MVP of the Northern Indiana Conference, Team MVP, First Team All-Conference, All-Sectional and garnered Hoosier Basketball Magazine 4th-team All State honors. Miller also earned South Bend Tribune Athlete of the Week honors during the season. "Tarrah Miller is a gifted athlete with a chance to be a special basketball player," Ryckbosch said. "Her ability to push the ball and see the floor is a great match with the UIC style of play. "We are thrilled to have Tarrah join our Flames' family."
Miller also etched her name into the annals of the South Bend Clay record books as she is 1st in career assists (278), 1st in single-season assists (99), 2nd in scoring (978 points), 3rd in single-season scoring (356), 4th in 3-point shots (59), 6th in steals (120), 9th in single-season, 3-pointers made (30) and 12th in rebounds (374).
