Chicago, Ill. - The University of Illinois at Chicago women's basketball team hopes to continue its winning ways on Friday evening as they will take on No. 3 seed Detroit in the Horizon League semifinals.

UIC is coming off an exciting 75-67 victory over No. 2 seed, UW-Milwaukee on Thursday afternoon. Junior forward Jaysie Chambers led five different players in double-figures as she recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Detroit earned the 87-73 victory over #6 seed Cleveland State in the second quarterfinal of the day. Senior guard Michelle James spurred the Titans' offensive attack with 23 points on the day.

The winner of the contest will square off with the winner of the other semifinal showdown between No. 1 seed UW-Green Bay and No. 4 seed Loyola. The championship game is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Sunday afternoon.
