Chicago, Ill - The Flames look to upset second-ranked UW-Milwaukee Thursday night at 7 pm in UIC's final regular-season home contest. The Flames enter the match-up 13-12 overall and 9-5 in Horizon League play. UIC is ranked third in the conference and will wrap up the regular season on the road versus Detroit on Saturday, February 25th at 1 pm.

Thursday's game against the Panthers marks Senior Day for Nichole Muffoletto and Chrissy Dizon. These two seniors will be honored is a ceremony before tip-off at the UIC Pavilion.

The Flames are coming off an 85-66 win over Butler on Saturday, February 18th. The Flames shot 51.6 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from three-point land and 86.7 percent from the line.

Hitting 9-for-15 from the field, junior Krystal Hugelier posted a season-high 23 points versus the Bulldogs. LaShonda Grant pitched in 15 and senior Chrissy Dizon added ten points in the win. Three Flames pulled down five rebounds and sophomore Nicole Rinaldi chipped in two blocks against BU.
 

 

UW-Milwaukee picked up it seventh straight victory after dropping Youngstown State, 67-44, on Saturday, February 18th. Senior Nichole Drummond scored a game-high 16 points for UWM. Freshman Traci Edwards paced the Panthers on the boards, pulling down six rebounds and adding 11 points. Dana Schultz and Molly O'Brien both pitched in ten points each in the win.

The Panthers enter today's match tied for first-place with UW-Green Bay with two contests remaining. If both schools are tied at the end of regular-season play, the Panthers will earn first-place because UWM has defeated the Phoenix twice this season.
