Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago senior Jaysie Chambers (Pleasanton, Calif./Amador Valley) was named the Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending February 9th.

Chambers averaged 18.0 points, 18.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists as the 6-2 forward helped propel the Flames to a pair of victories during the week.

Chambers opened the week up with 16 points, a then career-high 17 rebounds, and six assists to push UIC to the 76-57 road victory over Wright State on February 5th.

On Saturday evening, Chambers turned in a stellar performance as the Amador Valley graduate tallied a season-high 20 points, and career highs of 20 rebounds and 10 assists for her first triple-double as the Flames downed Butler, 82-64.

For the season, Chambers is averaging a double-double of 14.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per contest. She has tallied 13 double-doubles this season.

UIC will be back in action on Wednesday evening, as they will travel to Wisconsin to square off with UW-Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. (CST) at the Klotsche Center.
