Box Score

Chicago, Ill. - Trailing by two points and less than a minute remaining, Wright State forward Angie Ott knocked down the game-winning three-pointer to cap off a furious rally from an eight-point, second-half deficit as the visiting Raiders picked up the 58-57 Horizon League victory over the University of Illinois at Chicago, snapping the Flames' eight-game winning streak at the UIC Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

Wright State freshman forward Whitney Lewis scored all 12 of her team-high points in the second half, followed by Jeanette Woodberry (11 points), Brittney Whiteside (10 points) and Kendra Agee (10 points).

With the victory, Wright State improves to 14-10 overall and 8-5 in Horizon League play, while the Flames drop to 12-12 on the campaign and 9-4 in conference action.

The Flames had two opportunities to win the game in the final five seconds, but were unable to convert, as Lewis swatted away a Krystal Hugelier lay-up and sophomore guard LaShonda Grant's off-balance jumper at the buzzer went array.

Senior forward Dejeanette Flournoy led UIC with a double-double of 17 points on 7-for-7 shooting and 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward Jacquay Holmes added 14 points, followed by Grant's 11 points.

UIC will be back in action on Thursday evening, as they will travel to Wisconsin to take on UW-Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. in the Klotsche Center.
