Chicago, Ill.- University of Illinois at Chicago forward Kenneth Nightingale (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) was named the Horizon League Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the period ending October 24th, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

Nightingale scored the game-winning goal in Sunday's 3-1 victory over UW-Green Bay, pushing in a nifty score through a pile of players while also tabbing an assist on Derek Kosek's goal for three points in the match.

The Evanston, Ill., native has tacked on a point in the last three games, accumulating five total in those contests. Nightingale now leads the team with 12 points on four goals and four assists.

This marks the second time in the last three weeks that a UIC player has earned the weekly league honor, with midfielder Pavle Dundjer earning Co-Player of the Week accolades on October 11th.

Nightingale and the Flames return to action this Friday in a non-conference road match at Marshall beginning at 6 p.m.
