Chicago, Ill.- The UIC soccer team was unable to advance in the 2005 Horizon League Championships, falling 3-0 to UW-Green Bay in a quarterfinal match at Flames Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Flames (10-5-2) were unable to convert on numerous offensive opportunities, missing the net by inches multiple times.

UW-Green Bay's Joshua Okoampa scored two goals to lead the Phoenix (9-9-0) to the victory.

Jeff Engelbrecht made three saves for the Flames. UW-Green Bay's Adam Still stopped five shots on target.

"Hats off to Tommy Poitras and his team," said UIC head coach John Trask. "We kne they were dangerous, especially on an individual level."

Trask saw his team's youth show through in Saturday's match.

"Immaturity by some of the players," Trask said. "Immaturity by the goalkeeper at times."

Tonci Skroce and Cesar Zambrano led the Flames with two shots apiece.

UIC outshot UW-Green Bay 10-8.
