"Both of these young men have been leaders from the get-go," said Johnson. "Each has had my respect since day one. They are very good for the program and for the teammates that each represents."

Goss is the second member of his family to be named captain of a Division I men's gymnastics team by his peers. His older brother Bob was selected as captain of the University of Minnesota men's gymnastics team as a senior in 2002.

Krueger is the reigning Eastern College Athletic Conference floor exercise champion.
