St. Paul, Minn.- Incoming freshman Andrew Stover recently provided a glimpse of things to come when he competes for the UIC men's gymnastics team this season, as the Fullerton, Calif., native placed fourth among the nation's top junior gymnasts at the 2006 Visa Championships.

By way of his fourth-place performance, Stover is now a part of the United States Junior Men's National Team and will represent his country in international competitions while also providing points for "CJ" Johnson's squad beginning this January.

Stover posted a final tally of 80.400 to take fourth overall in the junior men's division (ages 16-18). His best showings were on floor exercise (13.856) and still rings (14.050), taking third place in both events. He also turned in top-10 scores on parallel bars (13.100) and pommel horse (13.006).
