Chicago, Ill.- The UIC men's gymnastics team proved it could hang with the best in the nation, as the Flames took top-ranked Ohio State to the limit at the UIC Physical Education Building on Saturday night.

UIC posted a season-best 204.050, just short of the Buckeyes' 205.850.

Junior Tim Morrison was outstanding for the Flames, posting a 50.900 in the all-around with a first-place 9.0 on floor exercise. He also scored over the 9.0 mark on vault (9.050) and high bar (9.1), placing third in both events.

Nick Stavros continued to shine as the senior pulled in two wins, taking the pommel horse with an 8.750 while sharing the rings crown with teammate Jeff White as both scored a 9.100.

Andy Krueger was strong on floor exercise with a second-place 8.9, while freshman Kevin Baune led the Flames with a third-place parallel bars performance (8.450).

The Flames downed the No. 1 Buckeyes in team scoring on floor exercise (35.100) and still rings (35.300).
