Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago Head Men's Basketball Coach Jimmy Collins announced on Friday afternoon that senior Elliott Poole (Chicago, Ill./Farragut) has been declared academically ineligible, effective immediately, for the remainder of the 2005-06 season.

The 6-foot-7 forward, who sat out his freshman year due to NCAA Initial Eligibility Requirements, has exhausted all of his eligibility.

Poole was averaging 7.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season, earning a starting nod in eight outings.

The Flames will be back in action on Wednesday, January 11th at UW-Green Bay.
