Cookeville, Tenn. - UIC Head Coach Mike Dee opted to keep his team off the field today against Tennessee Tech due to the field's condition. The umpires, however, deemed the field playable and, therefore, by NCAA rules, the Flames were given a 9-0 forfeit. UIC drops to 1-8 for the year and will play a three-game series at Saint Louis next weekend, starting Friday afternoon, March 3.
