Logan, UT--The Utah State women's tennis team defeated Idaho State University 5-2 on Tuesday afternoon in Logan, Utah. ISU dropped four out of the six singles matches and three out of the three doubles matches to take the loss.

Denise Cockrell defeated Lindsey Bennion in straight sets 7-6 (3), 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Armine Sarkavagyan lost a tough battle against Utah State's Jill Smith 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 at the No. 2 singles spot. Katherine Zigars gained a victory against Andrea Barker in the third set tie-breaker 7-6 (8-6), 5-7, (12-10) at No. 5 singles.

The Bengals return to their home courts at Reed Gym on April 14 to play a conference match against Northern Arizona.
