2005: Saw time in each of ISU's 17 games during the season while making five starts... Scored the game-winning goal against Eastern Washington (10/23)... The goal was her first since her freshman campaign... Recorded a shot on goal in three games during the season... Tallied a season-high two shots in two games... On the year, she notched nine shots with three on goal... Named to the All-Big Sky Academic team... Also named to the ESPN The Magazine All-District team. 2004: Played 13 games during her sophomore campaign... Ripped off five shots on the season, including one on goal against Gonzaga (9/19)... Was a boost off the bench for the Bengals. 2003: Saw action in six games as a freshman, scoring one goal on her only shot of the season... Scored her lone goal against Southern Utah in the Bengals 6-2 victory over the Thunderbirds (9/18)... Her first action as a Bengal came against Boise State in a 4-0 ISU win (9/5)... Also saw action against Brigham Young (9/20), Utah (9/25), Washington (10/5) and in the Bengals NCAA College Cup Second Round game against Brigham Young (11/5). High School: Led Blackfoot High School to the state tournament four times, winning once and finishing third last season... Was a first-team All-Conference and All-Area selection as a senior... Her speed not only benefitted her on the soccer field, but on the track as well as she earned medals at the state track meet as a junior in the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400-meter relays... As strong in the classroom as on the field, Burns was a three-year honor roll recipient and was a member of the National Honor Society. Personal: Husband is Blaise... Parents are Naomi and David Peterson... Has three sisters, Stacy, Erica, Emily and one brother, Matthew... Burns' sister, Stacy, played for the Bengals from 2000-03... Stacy is ISU's all-time goal scorer and point-getter... Studying business at ISU. |
