Aug. 31, 2007 RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on the first day of the UT-Dallas Gilbert Memorial Tournament, Friday in Richardson. The Cowgirls dropped the season opener to No. 17 Southwestern, 30-18, 20-30, 30-21 and 30-21. In the nightcap, the Cowgirls dropped a three-game match to UT-Dallas in a rematch of the 2006 ASC final, 30-27, 30-23, 30-20. The games were the head coaching debut of Sabrina Bingham, the Cowgirls' first-year head coach. Hardin-Simmons will play UW-Superior and Fontbonne on Saturday.
