HSU Has 13 Players on Academic All-ASC Squad

RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons had a conference-high 13 players named to the American Southwest Conference all-Academic team as announced by the league office.

Both the women's and men's team led the league with the number of players on the team. The Cowgirls had nine of their 11 players that had met the requirements of at least one year at the school and a 3.0 GPA make the team.

The Cowgirls had four seniors on the team in Sarah Hauk, Lyssa Denanrd, Melissa Contrucci and Laci Walker. Juniors Rachael Singletary and Rachel Cisneroz and sophomores Mollie Brawner, Kristen Harris and Kara Martin also earned the honor.

The men's team had four players, which tied for the most players on the team. HSU's three seniors James Peters, Matt Brackett and Zach Pickelman all made the squad along with junior Trent Martin.
