Cowboys Looking For Win No. 5

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball will be looking to break a four-game losing streak when it hosts Mary Hardin-Baylor on Thursday at the Mabee Complex. The Cowboys have continued to be in every game they play. In the current four-game streak they have led in the second half of three of the games. For the season the Cowboys have had second-half leads in all but five games.

About Hardin-Simmons

The Cowboys are led by its three seniors, Jason Eaker, Jordan Clower and Bryan Conover. The three are the top scorers on the team and one of the three has been the leading scorer in all but two games this season. The threesome will be playing their final game at the Mabee Complex on Saturday.

About Mary Hardin-Baylor

The Crusaders are not the same team that has been at the top of the league the past few years, but they are still extremely talented. Justin Hejl leads a balanced attack and the Crusaders stand at10-11 on the season and 4-6 in conference play. Coach Ken DeWeese's team won the ASC West Division title last season.

About Concordia-Austin

The Tornados won their first three games in conference play and have lost seven straight games. They started the season with 11 straight losses.

Conover Moves Up The Charts

Senior Bryan Conover, who has played three seasons for the Cowboys, ranks eighth on the Cowboys' career scoring list since dropping from Division I. His 752 points in his career and needs 84 points to move up the list. He also ranks eighth in field goals (279), 10th in field goal percentage (.556) and fifth in rebounds (467). The Abilene High graduate has scored in double figures in 13 straight games for the Cowboys and has been in double figures in 19 of the 21 games this season.

Clower Register Season High

Senior Jordan Clower had seven straight games in doubles figures, capped by an HSU season-high 27 points against McMurry. He snapped the streak with nine points at Schreiner and had a season-low two points against Texas Lutheran.

McCall Nearing Top 10

Junior point guard Jay McCall is nearing the top 10 for assists in a season. He needs just 12 more in the last four games to move into 10th place on the season charts. With 22 more he could get to seventh on the list.

Shoupe-Fuller Set Season Highs

Freshman center Adam Shoupe had one of the best games of his career against Texas Lutheran. He scored 14 points, which matched his career high, in just 12 minutes of action. Jonas Fuller also tied his season-high with four points against TLU.
