HOUSTON - Picking up their sixth win of the season, the Houston tennis team blew past Louisiana Tech on Friday afternoon at the John E. Hoff Tennis Courts on the main campus of the University of Houston.

The Cougars (6-2) won easily 5-2 over La. Tech, who is the first of three Louisiana schools Houston will face this weekend.

In doubles action, senior Bilijana Dimovska and junior Yolandi Terblanche teamed up to clinch the doubles' point for Houston at 8-5. The duo improved to a mark of 4-0 as a tandem this season with the win.

Dimovska continued her winnings ways by blowing through the No. 1 singles position at 6-3, 6-1 to improve to a perfect 7-0 in doubles.

Also picking up wins in singles play were juniors Kami Miller and Terblanche, along with freshman Brianna Bateup.

The Cougars take to the courts in back-to-back matches Saturday with Southeast Louisiana at 10:30 a.m. and Louisiana-Lafayette at 3 p.m.
