Cougar Softball Drops Third Game Against Louisville

Houston, Texas - The Cougars needed to pull out a big win over Louisville to sweep the series and make the C-USA Tournament, but the season came to an abrupt end today losing to the Cardinals 5-2.

Louisville put the first run on the board in the first inning and followed with two more on a short double to right center in the second. The Cougars responded with a run in the bottom of the second on a hit by Leslie Seay making the score 3-1.

The Cardinals put up two more runs on a homerun in the top of the sixth putting them up by four. The Cougars scored Ray Ferreris on a hit by pinch hitter Jeanie Davis, but could not manage to even the score. The final 5-2.

The Cougars will wait to hear from conference on their chances to make the tournament next weekend.
