TULSA, Okla. - The University of Houston soccer team snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 0-0 double-overtime tie against Tulsa Friday night, in Conference USA action at the Hurricane Track and Soccer Stadium. Tulsa (3-12-2, 1-5-1 C-USA) dropped to 0-2-1 all-time against Houston. Christine Nieva (Mesquite, Texas/North Mesquite HS/Arizona State), fully recovered from a knee injury that sidelined her for five matches, put together a solid match as well, pacing the Cougar offense with four shots, including one on goal. It was Houston's fourth overtime match of the year and the second that has gone to double overtime. The Cougars are 1-1-2 in extra time this season. Shelby Scott (Mesquite, Texas/North Mesquite HS) anchored the back line to the tune of 11 saves and her fourth shutout of the season.
