HOUSTON, Texas - Former Cougar quarterback Andre Ware, the 1989 Heisman Trophy winner, will be honored by the Houston City Council on Tuesday, April 27, for the recent announcement that Ware will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame later this year.

The former First Round selection of the Detroit Lions is set to be honored by Councilman Michael Berry, a fellow classmate at the University of Houston, beginning at 1:30 pm in the Houston City Hall Council Chambers. City Hall is located at 901 Bagby Street.
