Cougars Travel To Missouri State For Second Round Of NIT Monday Night

The University of Houston men's basketball team will travel to Springfield, Mo., and play Missouri State University in a NIT Second Round game on Monday, March 20. The game tips off at 7:05 p.m. in the Hammons Student Center.

The Cougars enter the game with a 21-9 overall record after defeating Brigham Young, 77-67, last Wednesday night in Hofheinz Pavilion. Houston also had a fourth-place finish in the Conference USA regular season standings with a 9-5 C-USA record.

Missouri State improved its overall record to 21-8 after defeating Stanford, 76-67, in another first round game Friday night, March 18, as both teams combined for 55 personal fouls and 73 free throw attempts.
