Houston Finishes as the runner-up in the fourth heat of the 4x100-meter relay at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. - The University of Houston men's track and field team had a second-place finish in the fourth heat of the 4x100-meter relay and a third-place finish in the preliminary rounds of the 4x400-meter relays at the Penn Relays.

Preston Perry, Andrew Carruthers, Termaine Smith and Carey LaCour combined for a time of 40.75 seconds in fourth heat of the 4x100-meter relay race.

Smith and LaCour also ran the first two legs in the men's 4x400-meter relay. They joined Sam Fobbs and Kolee Latson and had a time of 3:10.24 for a third-place finish in their heat.

Senior Cole Dailey also had a 19th place finish in the men's 5,000 meters with a career-best time of 14:42.47.

The Cougars will return to play host to the Houston Invitational on May 7 and the Conference USA Championships on May 12-14.
