Strawson Named To CoSida Academic All-District Second Team

Worcester, Mass. - Holy Cross sophomore volleyball player Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) has been selected to the 2005 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I second team, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The team is comprised of players from Division I schools in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

On the court, Strawson is having an outstanding season as she leads the team in kills (338) and digs (252). Her 338 kills ranks her second on the all-time Holy Cross single-season list. Strawson is currently second in the Patriot League in kills per game with 4.17. Academically, Strawson has a 3.89 grade point average with a major in biology.

Holy Cross (6-19 overall, 2-11 Patriot League) concludes their season when they host Army for Senior Day at the Hart Center, on Saturday, November 12, at 6:00 p.m.
