Volleyball Defeated By Bucknell, 3-0

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Bucknell, 3-0, by scores of 30-24, 30-21 and 30-22 in Patriot League action on Friday night. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 3-17 overall (0-6 Patriot League), while the Bison improve to 9-11 overall (3-3 Patriot League). Senior Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.), senior Meagan Merinder (Andover, Mass.) and sophomore Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) each had six kills for the Crusaders, while junior Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) led the team defensively with 11 digs. Freshman setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded 20 assists. The Bison were led by Jenna Henderson's 17 kills and Shannon Pitsch's 31 assists. The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, October 13 when they travel to Hamilton, N.Y., to take on Patriot League opponent Colgate at 4:00 p.m. |
