Waterville, Maine - The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team fought back from a third-period, two goal deficit to tie Colby College, 5-5 in Waterville, Maine on Tuesday night. Sophomore Stephanie Couzin (Chicago, Ill.) tied the game with one second remaining in regulation to force the overtime. Holy Cross stands at 7-3-1 overall and 6-3-0 in the ECAC East as Colby is now at 3-5-3 on the season.

The Crusaders were down 1-0 early in the game, but a goal from junior Sam Rush (Wakefield, Mass.) 15:40 into the first period got the Holy Cross offense started. Freshman Jackie Flint (Hingham, Mass.) scored 2:39 into the second stanza, giving the Crusaders their first lead of the night, bringing the score to 2-1. Freshman Lisa Wilson (Corunna, Ont. Canada) would build on the lead 3:11 later off of an assist from Couzin. Colby would fight back, scoring four straight goals including three by Laura Anning.

Wilson would lead the Crusader comeback and notch her second goal of the game, scoring 13:52 into the third period. Couzin would then put in the equalizer, ending the game's scoring.

Senior Casey McCullion (Philadelphia, Pa.) made 25 saves in her 65 minutes in net for the Crusaders. Colby's Lacey Brown made 32 saves for the Mules.

The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team wraps up their six game road trip on Saturday, January 13 taking on UMass Boston in Boston, Mass. The ECAC East match-up is set to start at 12 noon.
