South Hadley, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's golf team began the 2004-05 season finishing 11th with a score of 756 after two rounds at the Mt. Holyoke College Invitational, Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 25-26 at the Orchards Club.

The Crusaders were led by a duo of freshman. Amy Lussier ( Milton , Mass. ) was Holy Cross' top finisher with a two-round tally of 170, while Ellen Lamson ( South Royalton , Vt. ) dropped eight strokes in her second-round for a score of 85 and a final score of 178. Lussier shot a team-low of 81 in the second-round.

St. John's won the tournament with a final-score of 645 (329-316).

In the first round Holy Cross shot a team-score of 381 and followed-up with a second-round score of 375.
