Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's cross country team was voted eighth in the conference's preseason pole by head coaches and sports information directors. American finished first in the poll with 98 total points and 14 first place votes. Army was chosen next in the poll with 80 total points.

Holy Cross is coming off of a 2005 season where the Crusaders won the Fitchburg Invitational and placed second in the Central Connecticut State Blue Devil Invitational. The Crusaders finished 8th in the Patriot League Championship meet.

Holy Cross will begin the 2006 season Saturday, September 2, when they travel to Central Connecticut State for the Blue Devil Invitational.
