Before Holy Cross: Played one season for the Boston Junior Bruins of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) for head coach Peter Masters ... had five goals and 11 assists for 16 points as he missed the majority of the season due to an injury ... team finished second in the league ... three-year member of the varsity hockey team at Phillips Academy Andover in Andover, Mass., for head coach Dean Boylan as he recorded 47 goals and 25 assists for 72 points in 63 games ... senior team captain for the 2005-06 season ... team made one playoff final four appearance and two top eight appearances ... as a senior he scored 17 goals and had nine assists for 26 points, while he had 21 goals and 13 assists for 34 points as a junior ... won numerous Hockey Night in Boston honors including a three-time all-star selection (2004-06), two-time Best Pro Prospect (2004 & 2005) and one-time Mr. Hustle (2005) ... two-year member of the varsity hockey team at Winchester H.S. for head coach John Messuri as he recorded 26 goals and 35 assists for 61 points in 49 games ... earned Middlesex League All-Star accolades.
