Men's Golf Places 13th At NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. - Freshman Colin Andrade (Greenwich, Conn.) shot a 11-over par 155 over two rounds for a tie for 28th place to lead the Holy Cross men's golf team to a 13th place finish out of 42 teams at the 2007 New England Intercollegiate Golf Championship, played on Monday and Tuesday at the Captains Golf Course. The Crusaders finished with a total team score of 631, at 55-over par. Rhode Island won the team title with a 24-over par 600.

Senior Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) had the second best score for the Crusaders with a 156 which was good enough for a tie for 39th. Senior Ryan Kenny (Medford, Mass.) tied for 110th place with a score of 165, while senior Joe Hajjar (Mahwah, N.J.) tied for 128th with a score of 167 and freshman James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) tied for 136th with a 168.

The Crusaders have now concluded the fall season.
