Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown outdoor track & field team concluded action at the 2006 NCAA East Regional Championship on Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.

Junior Elizabeth Maloy (Loundonville, N.Y./The Academy of Holy Names) qualified for the 2006 NCAA Championships with her third place finish in the 1500m. Maloy improved on a personal record she set in Friday's preliminaries, running 4:23.46.

The Hoyas also finished 10th in the 4x400m relay, as juniors Nichole Torpey (Parker, Colo./Ponderosa) and Kandance Ferguson (East Elmhurst, N.Y./Milton Hershey) teamed with sophomore Ashley Hubbard (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield) and freshman Buky Bamigboye (Brentwood, Tenn./University School) to run a 3:38.53, the fastest Georgetown time of the season.
