Nolan on Buonomo - "Michaela is an outstanding central defender, great in the air, tough in the tackle and a born leader. She is extremely competitive and plays with great courage. Part of a defensive unit that allowed 0.95 goals-per-game, a Hoya single-season record low... Scored her first collegiate goal in a non-conference win against Delaware Prior to Georgetown - Buonomo was a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania ODP Program. She was the captain of her club team, the Pennsylvania Strikers, one of the top squads in the country. Buonomo had a stellar career at Council Rock South High School where the scholar athlete was named the Courier Times 2007 Player of the Year.
