Men’s Golf Comes in Seventh at Navy Spring Invite
4/8/2002 In their third match of the spring season, the Georgetown Men’s Golf team finished in seventh place in the Navy Spring Invitational. The event was played at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club on April 6-7. Sophomore Nick Cook (Shelton, Conn./Fairfield Prep) finished with the best Hoya score. He shot a 74 on the first day of play and an 80 on the second for a combined score of 154. His efforts placed him seventh along with four other players. As a team, the Hoyas shot a 641. Sophomore James Farrah (Potomac, Md./Georgetown Prep) shot a 157 and came in 16th place while senior Cody Courbier (Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades) shot a 162 good for 33rd place. Sophomore Brian Lafferty (Winnetka, Ill./Loyola) shot a 170 in the tournament. Georgetown next will travel to Princeton, N.J. for the Princeton Invitational on April 12-13. Complete Results |
