Battle Creek, Mich. - #6 Grand Valley State had its school-record 29-game winning streak snapped Sunday at the GLIAC-GLVC Challenge when SIUE shutout the Lakers 1-0. GVSU then dropped a 1-0 decision to UMSL, before claiming a 5-1 win over Lewis. GVSU is 31-3 overall.

GVSU was unable to score in the first two games Sunday, but managed five finale Sunday. RF Rachel Blain provided to big blow with a 3-run HR after Kerri Jonas was intentionally walked. Jennifer Mackson picked up the pitching win.

GVSU will host Lake Superior State Tuesday (April 15) and Saginaw Valley State Wednesday (April 16) in GLIAC twinbills.
