Grand Valley State finished in 15th place at the Michigan State Mary Fossum Invitational. The Lakers tallied a three-round 985, the University of Michigan won the invite with a 919. GVSU will resume play on October 3-4 at the Findlay Invitational in Findlay, Ohio.

The Lakers tallied a 325 in the first round, a 335 in round two, and finished with a 325 in round three. Senior Melissa Sneller tied for 28th place with a three-round total of 236 (77, 82, 77), while junior Melissa Riegle finished 60th with a 245 (82, 83, 80). Junior Kristi Vienneau took 61st place with a 247 (80, 83, 84), junior Laura Leatherman shot a 257 (86, 87, 84) for 79th place, and sophomore Kate MacDonald tied for 84th with a 268 (94, 87, 87).
