University Center, Mich. - Grand Valley State dominated the GLIAC Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships at Saginaw Valley State University. The women tallied a two-day total of 233.50 points, while Hillsdale finished second with 154 points. On the men's side, GVSU scored 209.50 points followed by Ashland's 138 points. GVSU head coach Jerry Baltes was named the GLIAC Men's Outdoor Coach of the Year. In addition, GVSU became the second school to win both the men's and women's GLIAC cross country titles, the men's and women's indoor titles and the men's and women's outdoor titles. Baltes has guided Grand Valley State to 18 out of a possible 24 GLIAC titles in four years.
