Results

Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State picked up their first GLIAC victory of the season with a 7-2 victory over Hillsdale on Sunday. The Lakers won two of the three doubles matchups and then sealed the win by winning five of the six singles. GVSU is now 1-1 in GLIAC action and 4-8 overall.

Pete Schwallier and Kyle Dehne earned the Lakers first point of the day with an 8-3 victory at #2 doubles. Mike Rhodes and Nick Cron won the second doubles match 8-4 in the #3 position. All four went on to win their singles matchups. Schwallier and Matt Young dropped only one game on their way to wins at #2 and #5 singles, respectively.

GVSU will host three matches this weekend beginning with Aquinas on Friday at 4:00 pm. GVSU will then face Mercyhurst at 4:00 pm on Saturday and Findlay at 10:00 am on Sunday.
