Allendale, Mich. - Four former Grand Valley State football players that finished their careers with a 52-4 record and three NCAA DII National Championships have signed free agent contracts with NFL teams. WR Eric Fowler and DL Derrick Jones signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, while QB Cullen Finnerty inked with the Baltimore Ravens. FB Mike McFadden signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers."What an exciting time for these young men," said third-year head coach Chuck Martin. "You never know what will play out when talking about the NFL and so many great players, but for these four to have an opportunity to get into an NFL camp and showcase the talent they have is a special experience. All you can ask for as a football player attempting to make it to the next level is a chance and they now have that chance. I know all four will give everything they have and make a great impression on the coaching staffs of their respective teams," added Martin.
