Bulldogs Wrap Up Fall Season

Stanford, Calif - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team wrapped up the fall season Saturday with consolation play at the ITA Regional in Stanford, Calif. In the first round of consolation play, Emily Anderson posted the Bulldogs' lone victory of the afternoon. The senior defeated San Jose State University' Guzman 6-2, 6-1. In the second round of consolation, Anderson continued her winning ways, defeating Sacramento State University's Martinez 6-2, 6-2. Rika Mehndiratta and Kristen MacWilliam also competed Saturday, each falling in the opening round of the consolation round. Mehndiratta dropped a 6-3, 7-5 decision to San Jose State's Tavita, while MacWilliam fell to the University of Nevada's Bailey by a score of 6-1, 6-0. The Bulldogs will resume play in the spring with the dual season.
