Women's Tennis Finishes 8th At WCC Championships

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The No. 8 seeded Gonzaga University women's tennis team wrapped up the final day of the West Coast Conference Championships Sunday with a 6-1 loss to No. 6 seeded Saint Mary's College. While the Bulldogs dropped all three matches during the three-day tournament, junior Taio Miller remained undefeated as she recorded her third-consecutive singles win over No. 6 Shannon Aloia 6-1, 6-3. The Gaels swept doubles play and secured the point as Valerie Verrier and Nicole Hunstock defeated the Bulldogs No. 1 team of Taio Miller and Aaryn Volkmann 8-3.
