Crew To Host Head Race With WSU This Saturday
Oct. 17, 2001 SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's and women's crew will host Washington State University this Saturday in a head race on the Spokane River. Racing will start at 10 a.m. just east of the Argonne Bridge with the finish line at the Gonzaga Boat House, located just east of the Upriver Dam. Racing will consist of men's and women's varsity eight's, novice eight's and varsity four's.
Fans can watch the 5,000 meter race from several locations along the Spokane River with best vantage point being at the Argonne Street Bridge. There are also several inlets along Upriver Drive where fans can watch racing.
