Crew Hosts Washington State In Opening Fall Race
Oct. 15, 2003 SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's and women's rowing teams will open the 2003 fall racing season this weekend when the Bulldogs host Washington State University on the Spokane River at the Gonzaga Boathouse. Racing action will start at 9:15 a.m. with races continuing until around Noon. The race will be a head race with boats starting at timed intervals and the winners will be based on the crews best time on the 3,500 meter course.
Due to construction on the Argonne Street Bridge fans are encouraged to watch the racing action from Boulder Beach along Upriver Drive or from the finish line at the Gonzaga Boat House.
