Men's Crew Opens Spring Racing Season

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's crew team will open the spring racing season this Friday morning at Orange Coast College in California. The Bulldogs will face OCC on Friday morning at their Newport Beach facility with races in the varsity 8+ and freshmen 8+. On Friday afternoon Gonzaga will compete in a scrimmage event against OCC and Loyola Marymount University. The Bulldogs will close out the weekend with a scrimmage on Saturday morning against OCC and the University of San Diego. Rowing in the Bulldogs varsity 8+ will be coxswain Meghan Quinn, stroke Connor Barry, David Hinshaw, Scott McCoy, Derek Clemmensen, Matthew Wernette, Warren North, Drew Smith and bow Sean Haase. The Gonzaga freshmen 8+ will include coxswain Amanda Brown, stroke Andre' Gallant, Brian Franceschi, Greg Malman, Pat Swihart, Ryan Roller, Brendan McCarthy, Andrew Langfield and bow Jeff Haguewood.
