Thaddeus Young to Appear on Countdown to Signing Day

April 17, 2006

ATLANTA - Georgia Tech signee Thaddeus Young, a 6-8 forward from Memphis, Tenn., will be the featured athlete on FSN South's weekly recruiting program, Countdown to Signing Day, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Cory Kessler hosts the live, half-hour program from FSN South's Midtown Atlanta studio, where he is joined by analysts Bobby Cremins, former Georgia Tech head coach, and Dave Telep, national basketball analyst for Scout.com.

Wednesday's program will offer an inside look at one of the premier athletes to come out of Memphis. Young, the nation's No.2-rated high school forward, and his Mitchell High School coach, Jerry Johnson, talk with CTSD about this McDonald's High School All-American, as a player and as a person. Last year, Young averaged 25 points, 13 rebounds and six assists per game in the strong Memphis prep league. Young also was named a second-team Parade All-American.

CTSD: HOOPS originates from FSN South's Atlanta studio and airs throughout Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, on the nation's largest regional sports television network. Also, exclusively throughout the state of Florida, CTSD: HOOPS airs live on Sun Sports.
