The George Mason women's tennis team lost a close match 4-3 at the University of Mary Washington this morning. Mason won two of the three doubles matches and the top two singles positions, but the Eagles three through six singles.

Mason's top two players easily won their matches. Senior Andreea Fusea lost only three games in her two-set win and Maricel Ballester won 6-2, 6-2 in her match at No. 2 singles. The pair also won at No. 1 doubles. The Patriots Jenn Dektas played a competitive match at No. 3 singles, but lost 6-4, 6-3. Dektas paired with Julie Moscato at No. 2 doubles won their hard-fought match 9-8(4).

The Patriots will begin their home schedule next Sunday, March 5 against UNC Charlotte at Noon.
