Spring Season Begins for Women's Soccer Team

The George Mason women's soccer team opened its spring season on Friday with a 1-1 draw at Loyola. It was the first of six spring games for the Patriots as they train for the 2007 season.

Next up for Mason will be a trip on Friday to Longwood University for a 5 p.m. contest. Two days later, the Patriots will take part in a tournament at Georgetown. At 10:30 a.m., Mason will face George Washington and at 11:30 a.m., the Patriots will face Georgetown.

The Patriots will then have two weeks off before hosting their first spring game when they take on Towson on April 13 at 7:30 p.m. on the Turf Field adjacent to George Mason Stadium.

Mason will then make its annual trip up to Germantown, Md. for the Kicks Tournament on April 14. The Patriots will play twice at the tournament, taking on Syracuse at 11 a.m. and Maryland at 2:30 p.m.

The spring season will conclude on April 21 when the Patriots play their annual Alumni Game at 3 p.m.
